DeMarco Murray
He was named All-Big 12 First and Second Team a combined four times
Murray's breakout season came in 2014 when he led the NFL in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, earning him the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. That season, he rushed for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns, setting a franchise record for the Cowboys. His performance that year also earned him a first-team All-Pro selection and his third Pro Bowl appearance. Murray's ability to carry the workload and his versatility as a pass-catcher made him a valuable asset to any offense he played in.
After his time with the Cowboys, Murray signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015, where he played for one season before being traded to the Tennessee Titans. In Tennessee, Murray continued to be a productive player, rushing for over 1,200 yards in 2016 and helping the Titans reach the playoffs. He retired from the NFL in 2018, finishing his career with 7,174 rushing yards and 49 rushing touchdowns. His combination of power and speed made him one of the most respected running backs of his era.
Following his retirement, Murray transitioned into coaching and is currently the running backs coach at his alma mater, the University of Oklahoma. His experience as a player and his knowledge of the game have made him a valuable mentor to young athletes. Murray's legacy as a player and now as a coach continues to grow, and he remains a respected figure in the football community.
