The Seattle Seahawks are NFL team based in Seattle, Washington. They joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Seattle is the only team to have played in both the AFC (American Football Conference) and NFC Championship Games. The Seahawks' lost Super Bowl Super Bowl XL to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Led by Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, and Richard Sherman, they defeated the Denver Broncos to win Super Bowl XLVIII.
