The Arizona Cardinals made their first Super Bowl appearance against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII. They lost on a late scoring touchdown catch from Ben Roethlisberger to Santonio Holmes. The Cardinals are the only NFL franchise in the state of Arizona. Other Arizona sports franchises include the Diamondbacks, Suns, and Coyotes.
