William Roger Clemens, widely known as "Rocket," is one of the most iconic pitchers in Major League Baseball (MLB) history. Clemens vehemently denied these accusations under oath before Congress, leading to a federal investigation. In 2010, Clemens was indicted on six felony counts, including perjury and making false statements to Congress. However, after a mistrial and a lengthy legal battle, Clemens was acquitted of all charges in 2012. These controversies impacted his Hall of Fame candidacy, as he never received the required 75% of votes during his ten years of eligibility, peaking at 65.2% in 2022.
